junio 07, 2011Let's take a look at what 2011 has been so far for Céline's career:
She started rehearsals for her new Las Vegas show in January.
In February, she started promoting her then-upcoming Vegas show. During her final visit to The Oprah Winfrey Show, she performed a sneak-preview of one of the new songs from the show: her rendition of Billy Joe's hit Lullaby.
Also in February, Celine made history by performing at the Academy Awards ceremony for the seventh time. She sang her version of the classic Smile, a song that had been considered to be included in her next show.
The very first video we saw of the show was recorded during one of the final rehearsals on March 8. It shows Celine performing the new live version of the classic My Heart Will Go On.
On March 12, a fan recorded audio of Celine singing her rendition of Michael Jackson's I Just Can't Stop Loving You and a new live performance of her own Declaration Of Love, a song that she hadn't performed in over twelve years.
Celine's new Las Vegas show (called Celine) premiered on March 15, 2011. It was a sold-out concert in which Celine sang some of her signature hits mixed-up with songs that she had never sang in the past.
The first round of shows ended on April, letting Celine start a seven-week-break to come back to the show tonight!
